To measure the climb, please use the following formula:

  1. Calculate your step size.  The usual size of a step is between 17cm and 18cm but we suggest you measure your own steps to be sure.
  2. We are climbing to Level 160 of the Burj Khalifa which is 62,800cm tall or 2,909 steps if you prefer.  If you are climbing in cms, you will need to divide your step size by 62,800cm. For example: 62,800 / 18 = 3,489. Count how many steps there are to the top of your stairs and then calculate the total number of stairs that you need to climb. For example: 3,489 / 39 steps = 89!
  3. The final amount is the number of flights you have to climb to complete the challenge.
  4. Please note climbing down the stairs does not count!
  5. We suggest, so you don’t lose count of how many repetitions you’ve done, every time you reach the top of your stairs, put a marble (or something similar) from one bucket to another.
