Chichuchas Wasi

Chichuchas Wasi is a comprehensive primary school for impoverished indigenous girls who attend free of charge. There are over 120 students from 4-12 years old. Cusco faces a lot of rain and sometimes extreme weather and the school currently does not have an indoor facility larger than a classroom for events, sports, theatre presentations, or otherwise. This project is to build a dry multipurpose room for these activities.

Our goal is to raise US$ 54,500 for this project!

In addition to quality academic education, Chichuchas Wasi provide daily high protein meals, on staff psychologist, yearly health evaluations, annual dental care every other year, parent meetings with psychologist, free uniforms, books and safe school transportation.

June 2020 - in response to Covid we were able to support this charity with funds of US$19,000 (AED69,000) for much needed provisions.

The food support donation for the emergency food distribution is providing for 126 families still on lock down. Peruvian school year is closed until March 2021 when the next school year will open. This is a Peruvian safety measure to keep children home until Covid threat is past.
